If you’re dealing with cracks in your walls or sloping floors and have no clue what’s going on, you’re in the right place. We help property owners in Clear Lake figure out what’s happening under their homes or buildings and fix it before it gets worse.
Your foundation is the concrete base that your whole home or building sits on. It’s supposed to stay flat, solid, and stable. But in Clear Lake, that’s not always easy.
The problem usually starts underground. The soil in this part of Texas is loaded with clay. Clay expands when it gets wet and shrinks when it dries out. That constant swelling and shrinking causes the ground to move. And when the soil moves, your foundation moves too.
It doesn’t take much. Half an inch of movement can crack walls, shift door frames, or cause floors to sink.
And it’s not always obvious at first. A little crack here or there might not seem like a big deal. But it’s usually a warning sign that something deeper is going on.
A few things can make foundation problems worse:
In Clear Lake, it’s common to see homes settle unevenly because the soil under one side of the house might stay moist while the other side dries out and shrinks.
If you’re in need of concrete leveling, crack sealing, or surface sealing services in Houston or the surrounding areas, give our team a call at 832-304-6293!
At Leveled Concrete, we use polyurethane foam injection and sometimes pressed concrete pilings. Each method has its purpose, and sometimes we use both together.
You don’t need to be an expert to spot warning signs. Keep an eye out for:
Any of these signs might mean your foundation has shifted. Even if it’s small now, it’s smart to get it checked.
We use two main methods, depending on what your property needs: polyurethane foam injection and pressed concrete pilings.
If parts of your foundation have sunk because the soil settled or washed away, foam injection is a clean, fast fix.
No mess. No digging. Most jobs are done the same day. You can walk or drive on the surface within hours.
When the soil deeper down is unstable or there’s significant settling, we need to go further:
If the soil under your house is unstable deeper down, lifting the slab with foam won’t be enough. That’s when we use pressed concrete pilings.
We take heavy concrete cylinders and press them into the ground under the slab using hydraulic force. They go down until they hit solid, load-bearing soil. That gives your foundation something stable to sit on.
Then we use steel shims or foam to raise the foundation back to where it should be.
Sometimes, we combine pilings with foam if the soil near the surface is weak or there are large voids under the slab.
Foundation issues don’t stay small…they get worse over time. Cracks spread. Floors sag. Pipes break. Doors stop working. Water gets in. The longer you wait, the more expensive it is to fix.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. If you see something off, call us. We’ll inspect the foundation, explain what’s going on, and give you a plan that makes sense.
You don’t need to panic, you just need answers. Leveled Concrete is here to help with expert foundation repair services in Clear Lake and surrounding areas.
